On Saturday I hung out at Sticky Art Lab in Berkeley and demoed three paper ornaments. Paper and creativity flew and these artists left with some pretty cool holiday decor!

![]() Some people build sand castles; I collect shells and pebbles while at the beach! It's an activity I clearly picked up from my Mom. No matter if her back starts to hurt from bending over finding the perfect shells, she keeps going until she is satisfied with her collection. (Go Mama!) On a recent beach adventure in Alameda, I spent a good chunk of time admiring objects on the shoreline. No shells here (not whole ones anyway), but pebbles were everywhere in so many colors and shapes. I collected a few with hopes I'd be able to create something besides a display jar. I decided on making pendants -- just add wrapping wire. Take a looksie below. I made a few more for my friends who helped me collect them -- a crafty way to remember the day! What do you do with your found objects? Comment below.
